The 5 Best Go-To Hairstyles for Prom 2016

Ladies, I don’t know about you, but when I am thinking about prom the first thing that comes to mind, after finding the perfect dress from Glitterati of course, is how I will find the perfect hairstyle to compliment my dress! Four proms later, I think I have finally found the secret to choosing the best styles for any dress!

  1. Delicate and Loose

You can never go wrong with one of these fun and flirty hairstyles! These styles photograph beautifully as plenty of hair frames the face and with enough hairspray it will stay in all night long! Tip: Bring in a picture of one of these styles to your appointment so that the hairdresser knows exactly what you want as these styles can be more difficult to describe without a reference.

(Yes, I do know from personal experience!)

2.Fashion Forward Fishtail

This style has been up and coming for everyday life and thanks to celebrities and fashion forward teens the fishtail has made its way onto the red carpet and you guessed it, prom! Fishtails are easy to manage, delicate, and sure to stay in place while you dance the night away!

3.Beautiful Braid

Are you going for a Grecian look? Then this style is probably exactly what you are looking for! It pairs super well with a chiffon dress for a classic, total package look. Tip: A braid into a bun is especially helpful if you have layers or side bangs as you will not have little flyaway pieces popping out of your bun!

4. Classic  Ponytail

If you’re looking for a simple yet sophisticated look then a high ponytail is the perfect style for you! If your dress has an intricate or open back then a high ponytail would be a great style to really make it stand out on your special day!

5. Half and Half

When in doubt the half and half is always a safe bet! Plus you never have to choose between wearing your hair up or down so you’ll be getting the best of both worlds. Tip: Make sure you use enough hairspray for this look as you do not want your voluminous curls to go flat!
